Bella Hadid tells the new issue of InStyle that her wealth and fame are entirely of her own doing, with no help from her parents at all. Yikes. Christmas dinner is gonna be awkward this year.
“I’m not saying I don’t love my job, but people think modeling is a bullshit thing to become more famous. I was 100 percent independent by the time I was 18, and I paid for my own apartment. That wasn’t because of my parents. I worked my ass off for two years.”
I completely agree with Bella on this. I found a job listing on Craigslist for runway model in Milan when I was 16, too. Naturally I applied and got the job on account of my handsomeness, but I simply couldn’t cut it. I lasted two weeks. Bella, on the other hand, filled out that job application for runway model, was luckily hired, and thrived at it, with no help from her billionaire dad and famous mom. Independent kids forever!
