Paula Abdul cannot be purchased
An eBay auction for a day with American Idol judge Paula Abdul was removed after it received exactly zero bids:
Fox TV executives had hoped for a bidding war over the VIP package, which included two first-class tickets to Los Angeles, a $2,225 shopping spree, and a backstage meeting with the star. The auction was intended to raise money for multiple sclerosis charities, but the $26,000 asking price proved such a deterrent that the listing was removed from the site after four days. An eBay spokesperson says, “This sort of charity auction usually makes a mint. It’s kind of sad that nobody wanted to bid on Paula.”
$26,000 for day with Paula Abdul? And they’re surprised no one bid on it? I wouldn’t even pay $26,000 for a week with Paula Abdul…….actually I might. Just replace “Paula Abdul” with “truckload of bilingual big-breasted prostitutes.” Why bilingual? Because, my friend, you haven’t lived until a hooker calls you ‘huge’ in two different languages.
While the auction did end without bids, the high starting price was to blame and not Paula Abdul’s celebrity status. The price reflected the potential cost of first class airline tickets from international destinations, and as it probably turned out, most of her fans are in the states.
As far as I can tell the auction wasn’t run by “Fox Executives” or American Idol, either, or there would have been a press release or more significant advertising for it.
And no, I don’t work for Paula Abdul… but I do spend A LOT of time on eBay!
I agree with Sarah. The high price and low promotion were a bad combo.
I found an interesting song. Imagine a day when we have enough bandwidth for “10 Billion Channels”; everyone will have their own show, but only boring people will have to work for a living - the interesting people will have advertising and pay per view.

I think it is fitting that Paula did not get bid on. Why would anyone want to spend any time with her?? She is nothing but a cry baby windbag who feels her life is in turmoil because of other people, when in fact she is to blame for most, if not all of her problems. The bid price is expected. Many popular celebrities would have had the bid go up in the millions. If people care to want to spend some time with that celebrity. Obviously, no one wants to spend time with this nutjob. Rightfully so. She treats people like shit unless you worship every step she makes.
Well who has that kind of money in this time and age. People work hard to just survive in this day and age. Only people who could aford to bid $26000.00 for a date with anybody would be people who are actors,singers,politions. No normal person could ever aford that kind of money. Even getting a loan today is hard to get.

If I would have known about the auction, i would have bid whatever I had ( which still wouldn’t have been enough! ) But i would at least have tried! The thought of going shopping with her would be great! I’d take her to Frederick’s of Hollywood or Victoria’s secret and have her try on whatever she wanted… maybe even some new thongs! Loved her since she was a Laker Girl…and I wouldn’t even watch American Idol if she wasn’t on it! She’s Forever My Girl! ( Even though i can’t afford her! )
i agree with sexythoughts ….i would spend all my money to have on day alone to myself with paula…she is the most sweetest woman alive i wouldent mind if we got together as well…but i know im way too young for her…but i wish the best for her…you take good care of you and that sexy body paula.
do you think… people may not of bid for these 3 reasons.
1. its on bloody ebay so you dont know after spending the cash if you will actually get a date with her or not
2. 26k!! and not that much publicity on it shes blates not going to get a bid

3. shes not fucking sweet shes annoying and everyone takes the piss out of her let alone she is fucking ugly as! and pop idol was well better than american idol when it came out in england 1st because it was funny and brutal love simon lol not got some week ass woman crying over them!
